The Liverpool & South West Lancashire Family History Society (L&SWLFHS) has been established in Liverpool since May 1976, when it was called the Liverpool Family History Society and its first meeting was attended by 30 people. The area covered was the West Derby Hundred.
Since then the Society has grown to include six groups in Liverpool, Widnes, Warrington, Southport, Leigh and Skelmersdale, with a membership of nearly 1,500.
We welcome like minded researchers to join us in discovering our ancestors and enjoying our Meetings, Journals and Help Desks. We are available on Facebook, Twitter and our Forum where there is a friendly, helpful crowd who do their best to resolve queries.
