The Department of Culture Media and Sport established the Fund in July 1997 with additional funding from the Wolfson Foundation.

The Lancashire Parish Register Society Link The Lancashire Parish Register Society: The Society was formed in 1898 and has published, at the time of writing, 197 volumes either in hardback on microfiche, or on CD. The publications contain substantial parts of the registers of over 100 parishes, printed fairly steadily since 1898. These include editions of more than 50 of the earliest Lancashire registers, in fact all but one of the registers commencing in the 16th century have now been printed in part.
The Lancashire Online Parish Clerk This site aims to extract and preserve the records from the various parishes and to provide online access to that data, FREE of charge, along with other data of value to family and local historians conducting research in the County of Lancashire. An OnLine Parish Clerk should not be confused with Parish Clerks, who work for parish or town councils.

St Helens History Our own Webmaster's site. This site was created as a way to allow interested parties the oprotunity to see postcards collected by the webmasters granfather showing sights and famous people from St Helens. The images are of a quite different (yet strangely familiar) St Helens from around 1890 - 1940. The site also includes a searchable database of the soldiers listed on the War Memorial in the town hall square, and also the Pilkington's Roll Of Honour for WW1.
