I must admit to just chucking in some braising steak, casserole veg and spuds and coming home to something tasty, but I do know that there are quite a few websites with recipes, often American but since I never go by strict measurements then they are easily adaptable.
This one seems fairly good http://www.slowcookerrecipes.org.uk/ and an English one http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipes/slow-cooker-recipes.aspx _________________ MaryA - Member No. 6532

Doe.
Here is a very simple recipe:
Half Cook some sausages, then chop into bite size peices.
Add to the Cooker Pot with 1 Tin of Chopped Tomatoes & Gravy Mix (& Spice to Taste), then just leave to cook for a couple of Hours!
I am sure You could sort out DOzens of Variations to the Above to suit Your Taste! _________________ Membership No: 7262

Oh yes, all of those Holly, especially if you are having a bit of a gathering, makes a big curry.
I hadn't thought of doing a lamb shank in there - good thinking! _________________ MaryA - Member No. 6532

don't know if you can get all these ingredients but here goes
Fajitas
1 green bellpepper thinly sliced
1 red bellpepper thinly sliced
1 large onion thinly sliced
1 1/2 lbs cheap steak sliced (skirt or flank)
1 can coke
1-2 jalepeno peppers finely chopped
put all these in crock on low for abt 6hrs...add 2 fresh tomatoes sliced in wedges during last 10 mins...
serve in flour tortillas with grated cheese, shedded lettuce and sour cream
makes 8 fajitas _________________ Susan member number 7660
