How would John get his new wife back to Portsmouth 1811 .I don't think she would have been able to go on board with him so the Journey from Lerwick down there would have been fraught with danger if she traveled on her own

On my visits over the years to Landican Cemetary to visit my Late wife's Tree, I always pause at the grave side of Sergeant Cherry and reflect he died 26.June 1944 age 20 and think how lucky I am only 10 years younger and only did National Service (Rest in Peace)
