Absolutely at a loss on that one. Had a quick look last night but cannot find any Henry or John Church or Churcher whi has a son Henry and is listed as either sailor or seaman. The info. On AEV Church you have is correct he was A/Sgt and the number is correct.
Why though am I unable to find Henry's birth in London in Dec. 1859? On his first marriage he has listed his father as Henry on his second as John sailor and seaman respectively.

Thank you so much. I found Henry in the National Archives with medal ribbon and the address in Warwick Street. Where did you get the photocopy i.e. site? Root canal..........don't go there. A.E.V. Church was Elizabeth and Henry's youngest son, didn't think there would be two of them. I found that on the Forces war records site. Still having trouble accessing the war records on Ancestry.
