Re: Investigation of death and reburial mystery.
Thank you Blue for your prompt reply. :D I will give a look at the microfilms and newspapers when I in Liverpool in November. This has been one of the greatest mysteries surrounding my Gr. Grandmother. I think I will order a copy of the death cert for Elizabeth, just to learn if it is the correct pe...

Re: Investigation of death and reburial mystery.
Sorry for the delay in posting a reply Blue. Yes, the death of Elizabeth Davis, age 61, Eldon Place is the one I am thinking could be her aunt.

Re: Investigation of death and reburial mystery.
The aunt, I think is Elizabeth Davis/Davies. Mary's (Snow) Hanlon's father William Snow had only one sister and she lived and died in Wales and Mary's mother Margaret, had one sister Elizabeth. I have never found a marriage for Elizabeth, and there is a death for an Elizabeth Davis, who is about the...

Investigation of death and reburial mystery.
One of my biggest mysteries in my Liverpool ancestry is a notation written on a U.S. passport application of my gr. grandmother Mary (Snow) Hanlon. On the 27 October 1916, she signed a passport application. The application stated that she was going to depart for Liverpool on 4 November 1916, on the ...

St. James Chapel
I have the civil marriage record of William Snow and Mary Davis, married on 30 Jan 1871. They were married in West Derby, Toxteth Park by Thomas Kelly, at St. James Chapel, R.C. Would anyone know if the church records for St. James Chapel are available or if the church still exists?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Map of Liverpool Neighborhoods
Thank you everyone! I will ask when a question arises. I do understand how neighborhood districts can change. The area of Boston where grew up and still live has many neighborhoods and districts. Most of which have changed boundaries over the years. I am hoping to come to know Liverpool a little bet...

Map of Liverpool Neighborhoods
Hello Everyone, I have seen specific neighborhoods in Liverpool mentioned such as Toxteth, Vauxhall, etc, in books and other Liverpool resources. I am hoping that someone would know if there was a map showing the boundaries of these neighborhoods and the streets included? Thanks in advance.

7 St. Paul's Square
Would anyone know if 7 St. Paul's Square in Liverpool was some sort of boarding house? I have ship manifests of arrival to the UK and USA listing that as the address of record for my gr. grandmother, Mary E. Hanlon. She made many trips back to Liverpool from Boston MA. Her niece Elizabeth Snow is li...
