Re: Davies girls in the 1939 Census

Thanks for your help but now I can see that the Edith Alice Davies that William Hardy married was born on the 26 Feb 1881 it doesn't tally with the birth of my Edith Alice Davies who according to the census was definitely born in the first quarter of 1880. Unless she lied about her age, which they t...

Can anyone locate the Davies girls listed below in the 1939 census for me please. I know that Beatrice Ann was in service as a cook in the Stafford area along with her sister Edith Alice who was also a cook for another family in the area for many years? I don't think either of them ever married but ...

Can anyone find anymore information pl...

Re: Edward Walker b abt 1790

Ok thanks Blue, I definitely have him listed as a White Smith on his sons marriage cert in 1838. I also know from his sons census records that he was born in Liverpool in abt 1815. Will keep trying to nail it over time!

Re: Maria Walker born between 1839 and 1863

I started to get a glimmer of hope that Richard and Robert were brothers at one stage, as they both have Edward Walker as a father. Unfortunately Roberts father was a White Smith and not a teacher as in Richards case. Spot on Alison C, everything matches except for the relationship and surname where...

William Thomas Walker

William Thomas Walker was born in Liverpool on 23 Sep 1894. We are pretty sure he was a Merchant Seaman, probably a stoker, in WW1 and he may have been a survivor after the Laurentic was sunk off the coast of Ireland. So far I have been unable to find any information about his Merchant Seaman days s...
