Thanks for the link, it has solved part of a family myth. There are five records for Henry Bush in the Kings as POW's. The first is a private, the others are officers. The private served with A Coy, 1st battalion and not the 8th, as was the family myth. Hence, I think this has solved a family query ...

Thank you for this. My grandfather always said he had been captured at the Somme and was a POW. My Father thought he served with the Liverpool Irish (8th) in the Great War. Can anyone assist ? Ellen Price, nee Heyes or Hayes, born Wigan 1897, died Speke, Liverpool 1977 and husband Samuel Price born 1900 Lancs, died Walton ? Haven't had much luck getting any further with these ancestors. Many thanks.
