Re: 1904 Orphans
Honestly Mary - it's unbelievable! Who changes there name, uses different birth dates and disappears!? Nightmare x Why would they put the address - if they didn't live there? Now that is a question of somebody who expects our ancestors to behave logically - which you will learn that they are far fro...

Re: 1904 Orphans
No - the surnames don't ring a bell. But if Nicholas was christened again at the same time - then surely he would be living there? X

Re: 1904 Orphans
Thank you - I wasn't sure how to do it. I am guessing they were Roman Catholic x I have merged these two topics as they seem to relate to the same person. Additionally you seem to have overlooked my previous post or have you already made an enquiry about the records available at the RO? Hi and welco...

Re: 1904 Orphans
Yes I found this Bert. I have saved it as I think that may well be him. I am just lost as to where he would have been before then and where he went after. X

Re: 1904 Orphans
Where would I find this? I am a bit sad that it's not John J Hodge. I have found a record which shows he may possibly have been at St edwards School (orphanage). They seemed to have got his birthdate wrong - having him listed as 1901 - but this would correlate with the death certificate I have found...

Re: 1904 Orphans
WOW! Thank you. I guess that if I go through the whole census at that place then I may be able to find John James? Or James Hodge (as he was born). Would they have been split up?
