Irish Genealogy ie parish records progress update:-

"Thank you for your enquiry

The current position in relation to the addition of new records is:

Cork- Work has just been completed on the remaining records from Cork &
Ross Roman Catholic records except for further records from Cork City which
have been completed by Cork County Library.

Dublin - Work is ongoing in completing the remaining Dublin City Roman
Catholic records, a completion date of May 2011 is now likely for these.

Monaghan- Work is ongoing for a set of Roman Catholic records for the
county. These are due for completion in the next few weeks.

Overall- No firm date has been set for the addition of further records
yet, but we will provide a further update on the website soon. Apologies
for the delay in the addition of this extra data to the website."

Hi Blue,
Thanks for the update info. I wonder why no-one has thought of putting a progress update on the site home page?

I have been looking for access to Monaghan records for a while for a scouser pal in the US. Thanks to you I have some good news for him.

Hi DS

I know you would think they would have updated their progress report on the website to keep people better informed I check nearly every day for new County Cork records.

Thanks for the update Blue. We are getting there slowly. I'll just have to keep taking the tablets to keep me going for a bit longer until they get the Limerick and Clare records up!

Hi DS

I know what you mean I feel the same way about my Holland County Cork saga. I've got this fear that the last of the Cork records will appear and they aren't included. Maybe one of my distant relations got the county wrong? My Grandad's maternal side has Cavan, Wexford, Antrim and Liverpool on it but the paternal side has hardly anything on it.
