Surnames from Norway/Sweden ... mainly Fageras

Hello!
If anyone is tracing a family tree with the surname fageras, you may be surprised with what you find!
Fageras is a common surname from Norway (were my ancestors come from) and is actually a farm/farmers name rather than an actual surname. i.e. In my family tree I have a Martin fageraas born in Ostfold, Moss, Norway whom married hannah Maud Mary Wignall. Martin was actually Born Martin Kristensen but his family are commonly known as fageras because they come from a farming background
Norwegian and swedish surnames once you go to back to the 1800's change quite a bit. The sons tend to me ".....ensen" meaning son of ..... and the daughters tend to be "......datter" meaning daughter of ....
Complicated I know But if anyone needs any help I will more than happy to trace some families for you
