The William Grimshaw who died in1838 was buried at St Paul's Liverpool on 16 May 1838. His abode was Collingwood Street and he was 44 years old.

Re: Surname decipher please
If Charlotte Gundry was Charlotte Grimshaw if she is 56 at death in 1871 that would make her born about 1815 a bit young to have a child in 1826 but OK to have a child in 1834.
Or am I missing something?

St Michael Liverpool

Re: Surname decipher please
That's the one need to locate Charlotte and daughter on 1841 but I hate the 1841 Census. Took me 10 years to find my McArdle and McNally on that census. I had to use a fine tooth comb to find them!!!

Re: Surname decipher please
It doesn't say but then found it on the general Ancestry and it says St Michael Liverpool BTS if that's any help.
I wonder if my 1841 census index will work on Windows 7? I'll give it a go.

Re: Surname decipher please
I had a look at the 1841 census index disc
No Charlotte or Elizabeth Grimshaw listed
No Gundry listed either
I checked any possible ones I could see but nothing there was only a couple anyway.
