WILLIAM is in the house of William Ashcroft b Bispham who I believe is the brother of James Ashcroft. WILLIAM is listed as a nephew
ANN is also listed as niece born 1865
William snr is married to an Ann & they have a son William :o(
{ Ann later dies & Wm marries another Mary & has more children}
they live at 22 Summer Gardens Kirkdale

Now ANN STEWART is nee ANN HALTON b Bispham
There is a MARGARET ASHCROFT married to a JOHN HALTON in Sept 1/4 in Chorley Lancs.

The question is, does MARGARET belong to my Ashcrofts & where did her & John get to after their marriage, this is how I think ROBERT & ANN took in ELIZABETH ASHCROFT :?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

For the crew, the marriage of Margaret Ashcroft to John Halton took place Chorley, Q2 1843 Chorley 21 184, if I have the same one you are referring to.

I have been unable to find an entry for the marriage online and this is quite important to discover what ages and addresses the bride and groom gave, father's names and witnesses as they may be related. If you don't have it you can order it online at http://www.gro.gov.uk using the references given above, cost is only £9.25.
