First time poster from Australia.
Been doing some family tree tracking and looked to have hit a brick wall in the search. Joined Ancestry and Familysearch and I suspect that information I am tracking may not exist or has gone missing over the years.
Been able to successfully trace back to around 1750 (no I am not from convict stock

I am fairly confident that Liverpool is where any marriages earlier are likely to have taken place. The Fleetwood line I am following appear to have located there for all the generations up to when my gggg grandfather and mother emigrated to Australia. Is there any known losses of records prior to the 1750?
Without marriage detailed history it makes it very difficult to connect the dots.
I have been able trace back to Richard Fleetwood b. 10th Feb 1731, bap. 22nd Feb 1731 (St Nicholas, Liverpool) married Martha Forster 8th Sept 1776 (Liverpool St Peters, Church St)
From there it gets sketchy...are there any marriage registries that I should be aware of that might not have been displayed by Ancestry or Familysearch?
Thanks and regards,
Ian Fleetwood
