Yes parts of Walton are still going, mainly clinics and outpatients though, the majority of the "in-patients" now go to Fazakerley. I think many of us were born there.

The older building with the clock tower has now been converted into apartments, I believe the clock tower is listed so at least it'll be one landmark which should be around for quite a while.

Thank you for all the pictures and information about Walton Workhouse/Hospital. It's all really interesting and helps to build up a picture of what living conditions were like for our ancestors. Pretty grim for most of them :cry:
