Difficult when there is duplication and confliction of posts, we don't know where we are, especially before somebody manages to pick up and link them together.Katie wrote: http://www.bootlehistory.co.uk/forum/vi ... hp?t=23763

It appears they lived together for some considerable time before marrying.

[quote="dickiesam"]Hi Barby,
I believe there is a typo in your post for the 1911 family address. Should be 53 Clifford Street, not 52.
Re Edward's birth, there are 5 possibles coming up based on his 1911 age of 19, giving 1892. Allowing 1 year either side gave these...
Dickiesam,
Yes, you are correct a typo on my part. was 53 Clifford St.
Thank you or the info re extra references when ordering certificates.
I was thankful of this in the earlier days but did not know that it was still available.

If he died as the result of an accident there may have been an inquest and, as Katie says, a mention in newspapers.Thomas died 14 June 1933 107 Rice Lane. The informant on his death certificate is Alice Evans Widow of deceased. Address at time of death, 24 Sandy Lane Bootle.
Thank you for taking the time to look up the newspapers. As you can appreciate I do not have access to any papers as I am in New Zealand.
The Occupation of Thomas at the time of his death was General Labourer.
Covers a large range of occupations.
Cause of his death was Cerebral Absess. Bronchiactasis(?) Some sort of Brochial problems.
Thomas is buried in Bootle Cemetery. I wrote to the Cemetery as there are other family members buried there. He is buried in a Public grave
Thomas Alfred Evans, is buried in Bootle Cemetery, Section
Church of England 5, grave number 129.
Date of interment was 19 June 1933, and he was 31 years old.
Thank you to all who have written, I appreciate all the help that everyone has given me.

Re: THOMAS ALFRED EVANS & THOMAS EVANS
Hi Dickiesam,
The birth Thomas Evans 8b 394 is not the correct record.
I had already ordered and received that Certificate. He lived at 86 Park St. Parents Lilly (Eleanor) Evans formerly Creber. Father William Evans, Ships Storekeeper
There is of course always a possibility that I do have the incorrect death. Not an easy one I know. Seems I have exhausted just about all my possibilities apart from the Hughes marriage.
I may order that one and use the method described of not putting in the GRO registration code.
It has taken me years to find my grandfather's brothers, Edward to go and I have all five of them. I won't give up. I made contact with family in the UK mid 2012 and that was a huge breakthrough.
The only other option I have is to search the Electoral rolls. If there is anyone that may be able to do that for me I would be very much appreciated.
Thanks all for everyone's help on this matter.

That would be a very difficult thing to do without an address, but if you have it and date and wish to hire a researcher to help, please get in touch as we can make sure you contact a reputable one.Barby wrote: The only other option I have is to search the Electoral rolls.
