Hi,
This is my first post.
I am searching for William Arthur Maiker (senior) information believed to have entered Liverpool with the Merchant Navy from Sierre Leone although this has never been confirmed and only guessed. He was born around 1901 and died in 1940. We are unable to get any information from the National Records Office in London regarding his entrance into the UK, they have said no records exist for Sierre Leone.

William Arthur Maiker (senior) married Eleanor Nicol in 1931. Her family descend from Nigeria and her second husband, Thomas Koufie, from Ghana.

I would appreciate any input into his arrival and from where.

Welcome to the forum.

I can find one reference on the incoming passenger lists leaving Sierra Leone and arriving in Liverpool 17th March 1912, the name on the list is William A Mager (it is a long shot).

The shipping company Elder Dempster Co and the ship name Olenda.
