Hi All
I am trying to establish if the Henry Hogan found on the 1891 Source Citation: Class: RG12; Piece: 2950; Folio: 144; Page: 6; GSU roll: 6098060. is the brother of my GGrandfather. On the census it just gives his birth place Wigan, which would be correct. I have googled the school and found that it was established by nuns between 1852-1858, the family are Roman Catholics, his mother died in Dec Q of 1889 and his father John Hogan my GGGrandfather was living with another son on the 1891 census in Wigan.
Are there any records to view at the records office that may confirm that this is my man.
Thanks
Chris
