Hello.
Many years ago my Father-in-Law went to Liverpool to sort out the estate of an old Aunt who was one of three sister's who had died. Amongst other things he brought back were many photos of past family the name of which is Kitchen. I know i'm grasping at straws here but i wondered if there was somewhere where photo's could be placed to be viewed by others. There were so many Kitchens in Liverpool that it makes me feel that there must be someone out there who would recognise someone. One photo had on the back what i thought was Christina 1894. Great i thought i'll check my records to see if i can find a Christina. However when i put on my glass's on it said Christmas 1894. A lesson to us all i think to put names on photo's. Any help will be gratefully recieved.
Susan

Hi and welcome to the forum.
My suggestion if you are unable to identify any of them so that we could check censuses etc. would be to upload them to a the Flickr site
http://www.flickr.com/
It is a free site and you can add text to your photographs that will be picked up by the google bots and found when anybody is doing a search for the name or some of your text.

Hello Susan,
If you do post those photos on the suggested websites, do come back and tell us with the links so we can go and look-see. I have a 'revered' primary school head teacher in my memory bank who was a Kitchen from Liverpool! Not family of course. She just had such a huge good influence on my young life.

Hello. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Teacher you speak of so highly was from my husbands family, the Kitchens. A lot of them did seem to go into Teaching. However the ones i know about were in Victorian, Edwardian times. So would have been before your time. However if you remember her name i'll keep it in mind. I did look at ficker and realised i'd put some photo's on there some time ago. Someone has already put a link on so you could view them that way. There is only a small sample on Flicker and i've only had time to put one on DeadFred

We would need the direct link to some of your own otherwise we would just arrive at the main site and could spend for ever searching.

Sorry for the delay, been unwell. If i've done it right you should be able to see the photo's via the link below. There are about 14 pictures which is a fraction of all i have.
Susan.
