I want to look up a couple of people post 2000ish in Electoral Rolls (not local to me) and wonder which is the best site to subscribe to. I only want access for a short period of time.

Hi Hilary,
I use Tracesmart http://www.tracesmart.co.uk/
It will only cost you £3.50 for a full continuous 24 hours access. That does mean if you log off before the 24 hours are up you lose the remaining time. The site has a 'birth decade' filter to narrow down the hits as well as the facility of showing other residents at an address. I like the advantage of not having to buy credits all the time as the search goes on and then having credits 'left over' when you find what you want.

Tried to sign up to Tracesmart but I could have a free trial for 14 days (25 credits) I filled in the form for that and then it came up that after that they w wanted £49.95 for a year so I didn't sign up!! Couldn't find the 24 hour version anywhere.

I'm thinking they may be in Australia.

You're forgiven!!

I reckon I've found the family in Australia well mum dad and 2 children all appear to be at the same address in 1980 so need some help from our Australian posters as to how to find an address 30 years on!!

Hilary if you know the Australian State for these people, someone local may be able to go to that State Library & look them up for you.
Will mean ofcourse mention of which State.
If no takers- email the State Library for that particular State & ask if some one might kindly look them up for you.

As elsewhere we have some lovely people in Libraries here.
