Hello, I hope someone can help me.

I've just started tracing my family tree. I can't find my GG Grandfather on the 1911 census. I can find his wife and children but not him. I think he was an Engineer fireman so it's possible he was at sea. Any ideas if I would be able to find him on any records? I know he died in 1915 so not sure why he's not on the census.

You could try searching the National Archives for him and you may be lucky enough to find his seamen's pouch, but there is no guarantee as I believe the archives only hold 10% of the records.
If you do find it you can purchase it on line for the princely sum of £3.30 so not mega bucks.
