Ancestors from Bootle

Post by armybarmy »

Firstly, I have just signed up to this excellent looking site. So just finding my way around it at the moment.

Please excuse an old Manc for what might be a silly question. Are Bootle and Bootle-cum-linacre different places? Researching my ancestors shows up both as possibilities. If they are different, I would like to eliminate one of them so I can concentrate on the other.
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Check maps.google.co.uk and look up Linacre Lane, Bootle, you will see the area and how it has developed to modern day.
