Hi Everyone
Been very busy tidying up what I can with my tree, but for a
full branch I need the ellusive Mr Charles William Armstrong.
What I have
Born October 1895 in West Derby to ISABELLA HARRIET SMART (1857-1935) and EDWARD ARMSTONG (1847-1905)
I have him in 1901 Piece: 3493 Folio: 170 Page Number: 34
Household schedule number: 208
and 1911 with his family piece 22658
I decided to look closely at the 1911 and find that there is a line through his entry. I remember when you helped me with Norah that if there not present.......they shouldnt be on there and are crossed off.
Its the same with his brother Edward and sister Isabella. Edward was in the navy and I presume at sea, havent looked for Isabella yet will do so later.
But as you can see Charles is down as
St Fee Merchant Servant ..........trying to decipher it and struggling. Could it be **** Merchant Service ???
I did find a record for Charles Armstrong 1895 in Campaign Medals awarded to Merchant Seaman in WW1 1914-1925 but no other records.
Hope you can help
Suex

Thank you so much, just got month sub. Its brillliant and the other bonus is awhile back I told you I had mad contact with the Smart family. He sent me photos unfortunately not of my great great grandmother but of her sister (there was only 18 months) between them so I not roughly how she looked. But he said there were other photos that were not yet identified .........maybe this will help.
Once again youve come up trumps, thank you so much
