I am trying to track down further information on my husbands great grandmother who gave birth illegitimately to a Thomas George smith in August 1916 in 115 harrow by street. Her name is Minnie smith born in 1892 daughter of Albert smith and Minnie Oxton of Stamford street in the 1911 census. I haven't been able to track down what happened to Minnie after the 1911 census I.e. If she married and when she died , this a family mystery so any help anyone can provide pointers too would be appreciated. A May Wright is noted as present at the birth of Thomas Smith in 1916. Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi
Welcome to the forum. Do you mean Harroby Street Toxteth? If so here is the location on an old map (between Princes Avenue & Kingsley Road):-

It is Harrowby St, 1911 census & Directory, the cartographer must have been short of W's
Have you checked who lived at 115 in 1916? in 1911 it was James Buckley, wife, Elizabeth, nee Mills and children. Perhaps related, both had brothers.

Do you have her birth date? There are a number of deaths for Minnie Smiths and a birth date might find which ones are not her if you see what I mean!
Just another thought was Minnie a witness at her son's marriage?

Thanks everyone, I haven't been able to find a link to the buckleys who lived at 115 harrowby st Toxteth however the maiden name of mills might be a new area to consider, so thank you very much for the suggestion.
Unfortunately Minnie was not present at her sons wedding as he was passed over the fence and changed his name to his unofficial adopted parents so no records exist unfortunately.
I wasn't sure if the buckleys were related at 115 harrowby st as they also had a boarder living there I presumed that could have meant that may Wright may have been the boarder in 1916. Stamford street where Minnie lived was quite a long way from harrowby street so must have had some links.
Her birth date was I believe the relevant birth record under Toxteth Park 8b 205 Sept 1892 however as this is a common name could have married and be listed under her married name
Appreciate all of the help and advice

Although I understand that history is constantly being rewritten can you explain how the website author/creator has Stamford Street under Fairfield, West Derby?
When I lived in Ling Street (across Holt Road ) during the 1940s and later in Wrenbury Street (next to Stamford Street) Fairfield, to us, started at the Sheil Road Prescot Road junction and seemed a distance from West Derby

West Derby as in the registration district etc. I've seen that area described as Kensington, Kensington/Fairfield and Fairfield. The 1890s map below has West Derby on it, the segment to the north in the same series (not shown) is labelled Fairfield on their website I think when I was looking at that and seeing Fairfield named it made me go with Fairfield rather than Kensington. I think the reason I gave an unusually big address was to point out that Stamford Street was not in Toxteth but in another part of Liverpool and in another registration district. I should have said Stamford Street, Kensington, West Derby as Kelly's Directory 1894 has Stamford Street as Kensington not Fairfield.
