Good Evening, I have not used a forum before and I am a new member and hope some one may be able to help. I am doing the family tree and have come across a stumbling block which is my fathers brother James Kearns also known as Jimmy, born 6th October 1924 @ 107 Rice Lane, West Derby (I think this was the Maternity Hospital). The family all lived @ 40A Reading Street, West Derby, I have found out that James has passed away from other relatives but can not find either a marriage cert or a death cert for him.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

107 Rice Lane was Walton Hospital, also maternity, many of us were born there! It was formerly the Workhouse and the clock tower still remains today, as a listed building although the rest of the grounds have changed greatly.
