Do you know where Ernest was living when he died? Clearly if he was no longer in Liverpool, Grace's death may also have been outside Liverpool or the immediate surrounding area. There is a death registration in the Amounderness District Q2 1941 Vol 8e page 1142 for a Grace Green aged 48 (ie year of birth c. 1893). What address was given for either Ernest or Grace at the time of their marriage? It might be possible to check it against the electoral registers or directories like Kelly's and step forward in time until they either move, or Grace is no longer shown at that addrees.

And another postem against the marriage of Grace to Ernest F Green

Strangely Reginald Borris was living at 60 Shakespeare Street, Everton in 1920, but Grace wasn't there. Did they have any children? There are a lot of Crew Lists for him on Ancestry, up to about 1926 on the Scythia.

Mary,
When you say that Reginald Borris was at 60 Shakespeare Street in 1920, but Grace wasn't there, what source were you using? If it was the electoral register, I wouldn't have expected Grace to have been on it as she wasn't yet 30 and presumably not a property owner either.

Yes it was the Electoral Register, perhaps that is the reason.

If you have an Ancestry subscription then click on Card catalogue from the Search tab at the top of the page, and type in electoral in the keyword box.
