You don't say where they married - was it also in Dublin? Did they both have the same name of Carroll before they married?

Again is Jane's maiden name also Carroll as her married name? how did you find out her name, was it from the birth certificate of a child? Perhaps the ages and birthplaces of the children would help identify where and when the marriage may have taken place.

I trust one of these dates has been mistyped .... a lot more information would be needed - eg which country/county did they live in? again what children did they have, where and what dates and have you a birth certificate for one of them?

Is the son the Thomas Carroll who married Catherine Beattie at St Peter's C/E Church, Liverpool in 1865? What's your source for the Irish records or are you basing those dates on Liverpool records? Irish Genealogy ie website has more than one Thomas Carroll born in Dublin in the 1840s with a father also called Thomas Carroll.

I am assuming that Elizabeth was bn 1876? Also assume you got the birth years from a census page, which is why you don't have her maiden name? Where did they marry and what census did you find them in?

Hi Blue,

You might want to try http://www.rootsireland.ie/ as an alternative, The indexes are free to search but if find what you are looking for , you have to pay to read the record.

Cheers
