This is my first post and my family history is prominently Liverpool and Ireland but does stretch the world names I am researching are:
Sutton- Liverpool and USA
Cairns/kearns -Liverpool/Ireland
Holden -Liverpool/Ireland
Clarke -Liverpool/Bucks
Butler-Liverpool/bucks/Cornwall
Martin-Liverpool/Ireland
Dowling-Co Kildare/Dublin
Leigh/Lee/Lea-Co Kildare
Campbell-Liverpool/co Kildare/Dublin
Walsh Co Clare
Greene-Liverpool/Co Clare/New jersey/NewYork

Like many people I am struggling where in Ireland people are from any ideas?

Also would like advice about a marriage My Great Grandma was called Clara Cairns?Kearns however on her Marriage lines she has Married as Clara Holden she married an Edward Bond Russell so i am 100% sure this is the right marriage lines her mothers name Ellen Holden and Father was Patrick kearns however on Clara's Marriage lines it says (fathers name and surname) John Holden deceased but as previously stated her father Was Patrick Kearns. However her mothers father was John Holden.

Thought maybe her mum and dad were not married at time of birth but I have her BC and her parents Marriage lines.

Could this just be a registars mistake??

Welcome to the forum. Finding roots in Ireland can be very frustrating when all you have to work on is "Ireland". Irish records are not as extensive as English records with parish record coverage often starting after our people have left the country. Most of the census records were destroyed by order or during the Irish Civil War conflict between pro and anti treaty forces of the IRA in 1922. The new free to view NLI RC collection should improve access to some of the available Irish records when it is provided with a search facility. Here are some Irish related sites:-

Clara's surname was definitely Cairns or Kearns as her and other RC baptisms show. The use of the Holden name might have been a mistake the RC marriage doesn't have a signature but the civil marriage record has a place for one so I wonder if she signed that as her name. If you want to get the original signature version and not the GRO copy you can get the marriage certificate via Lancashire BMD:-
