Can anyone answer a question that has been driving my wife and I potty!
What was The Stag and Rainbow (on Queen's Drive opposite The Jolly Miller) called before it became The Stag and Rainbow?

I don't think I remember frequenting that one, just trying not to confuse with the Hermitage, wasn't this what is the Toby Carvery now?

Re: Stag and Rainbow on Queen's Drive
This site was formerly two large houses called Beechwood and Elmsleigh at the end of 1988 Liverpool City Council gave planning permission "To erect a licensed restaurant and car park with access from Queens Drive":-

I can't remember if it had a previous name or not. I remember it being Stag & Rainbow c1995.

It's a Beefeater restaurant so maybe the other name you are thinking of is Beefeater?
