A very distant relative of mine, who lives in Canada, is coming over here in June for a few days and would like to visit areas his family came from.
He has messaged me on FB to ask if the areas around Orwell St., and Commercial Road etc.where his ancestors lived are still 'standing'.
Perhaps I should direct him to this site, and he could give exact address details?

Re: Kirkdale
He will find a lot changed in Kirkdale, many of the streets have been renovated and have houses built from about the '80s and Commercial Road is very different, the old warehouses for example are now apartment buildings.

Blue's suggestion is best, that he put in the street names he wants to visit into googlemaps and look online before actually visiting, and see whether he thinks it worth it.
