Looking for C H Scrimgeour

Post by Stephen Nulty »

I have come across an inscription on a Great War memorial in Prescot which simply records this man as "C H Scrimgeour". The memorial is to those who served, and therefore contains many men who were not casualties, but who survived the war.

So far using the usual sources, I have been unable to find any likely candidates, so I am throwing it open to your sleuthing abilities to help me locate this man.

All I am looking for is details/evidence of his Birth, Marriage or Death.

Ah, the joys of lazy researching....just make a post to the forum, switch off for 12 hours and let everybody do the work for you :D

Seriously, many thanks to all, especially Simone. I don't know why I hadn't spotted him, but you know how it is sometimes.

Cheers
