I have read some history books to try to understand the battle of france and flanders but it doesn't really give me enough information. I was wondering by any chance if anyone here knows of anything about the cheshire regiment job during this time?

Welcome to the forum.
F&F was one of the zones of the Great War of 1914-18, not just a battle. It is a vast subject and it would be hard to summarise here. Many books have been written about that war with new ones still appearing each year.
Do you belong to a local library? There is sure to be a selection on its shelves.
If you have specific questions we will try to help with answers.
The Cheshire Regiment had a number of battalions serving in various war zones. If you Google 'the Long Long Trail' you will be able to browse through lots of information, which may help. There is a section on the Cheshires which tells a little about each battalion.
