I have the following soldier:-

Documents online have him as Hubert S Taylor. Ancestry have him as Herbert S Taylor

Opinion on correct spelling of forename welcome

Just a thought...

In the 1910+1 there isn't a Hubert S Taylor anywhere, of any age. But there are 4 Herbert S Taylors, 2 of whom are of an age that they could have been in WW1. Unfortunately, neither was born in Lancs.

TAYLOR, Herbert S 20 Wandsworth London
TAYLOR, Herbert S 38 West Ham Essex

Re my previous post:
Must be a couple of wrong transcriptions in the 1910+1.
Found 3 Hubert S Ts who were were alive then but one would have been too young for war. Found deaths for the other 2, both of whom could have been in WW1.

TAYLOR, Hubert Spencer Cheshire, Crewe 1955 [aged 54]
TAYLOR, Hubert Stanley London, Hampstead 1968 [aged 75]
