Robert Hughes ww2

Hello All

Can anyone tell me were i can get some information on Robert Hughes ww2 , i have him on his son's
birth certificate as 3763502 gunner royal artillery ( ship's boiler scaler) in 1940 living in Essex st, Robert was born in Liverpool
he is on 1911 census as being born about 1905 , any help please

You could send off for his service record. You might have to wait several months though. You will find the information about applying for his service record on here:-

The WWII records aren't as available as the WWI, I believe it will cost approximately £40 for them and the waiting time is about a year.
