In 1911 at 91 Holt Road, Liverpool William Chesters 41, Chandler born Adbaston, Shropshire and his wife Lucy 47, married 10 years and with two children John Harold Chesters 9 and Gladys 7 both at school, and Son from first marriage Alfred Powell 18, Clerk in Cotton, all others born Liverpool.

On 15 September 1900 at St Paul's, Toxteth Park, William Chesters, 30 Bachelor, Labourer 70 Hawkestone Street, father John Chesters (deceased) Labourer, married Lucy Powell, 36 Widow, 70 Hawkestone Street, father John Winckle (deceased) Labourer. Both signed their names, Witnesses William Mullin and Mary Jane Mullin.

In Q3 1887 Lucy Winckle married William Powell at St Mary, Edge Hill.

In 1891 - 15 Tagus Street, Toxteth Park
William Powell 28 Carter Shropshire
Lucy 28 Liverpool

We need to check the original CWGC Register in the reading room at Liverpool. If it is a error made when the registers went digital then a error can be sent in. If the date of death is recorded as 16th October 1918, then a death certificate will have to be purchased. I myself always go by the family notices and articles.

I will show you where the Registers are on Tuesday.
