For anyone researching WW1 deaths, this is a very useful site which can be searched with bare details - you do not have to fill in all the spaces, and sometimes the less put in the better. It is also known as Geoff's Search Engine, and it has links to the CWGC site information. It is sometimes a little slow to give you answers, but well worth the waiting.

In the Register of services, the dedication of the War Memorial took place on Sunday 8th July 1921. I will look to see if I can locate any articles on this. I also have a picture of the Memorial before it was took down.

At the dedication of the memorial it states 188 names on as of July 1921. So more were added later as Amanda suspected.

For general information, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's WW1 register ends at 31 August 1921, and deaths after that date are not regarded by them as war-related. This has not prevented those responsible for war memorials from including later deaths, as it applies only to CWGC.

I have a map of the parish of St Cyprian's, undated but about 1904 and it is unlikely to have changed in the following ten years. Most of those addresses identified so far (6 December) fall within or just outside the parish boundary.
