This would appear to be Arthur Ashton born approximately 1894.

In 1911 they were at 107 Opie Street, Hanna Bella was 43 and a widowed house cleaner, children William 20 year old paperhanger, Frank 23 married (crossed through, I suppose he was living elsewhere), Arthur 17 an Assistant Pawnbroker, George 9 and Mary 7.

In 1901 at 76 Doncaster Street, father William is also with the family, a 35 year old paper hanger. Everybody was born in Liverpool.

I was unable to find a baptism to confirm whether he might have had a middle name, however there is a birth entry that could possibly fit

Arthur Ernest Ashton Q1 1895 Liverpool 8b 76

I've tried following these leads a bit further:
The Arthur Ernest b 1895 is not the man from Opie Street, that soldier's record shows he was born on 17/1/1894, This fits with a birth registration of Arthur Ashton (no middle name)
Liverpool, Volume: 8b Page:42

Furthermore, there are marriage (1928) and death (1958)registered in Liverpool for Arthur E Ashton born 1895.

Of course this doesn't get us any further because there is nothing to connect any of them to St Cyprian's or to explain the middle initial on the memorial!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I wonder if there is anybody in your family who is able to explain the middle initial on the memorial and so confirm that this is your relative?

To give you the background about our search please check this post http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... 36&t=13135
