I cannot find any Robert Diable, but John Diable, 44476, 20th Battalion, Manchester Regiment was killed in action on 1 Oct 1917 and remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial. SDGW gives his birth and residence as Everton, enlistment Liverpool, and former service as 18863, East Lancs Regt.
