Three Parish Churches all in a row,
Prescot for Poverty, Huyton for Pride,
And Childo for ringing and singing beside.
This was supposed to have been penned by a Bell Ringer of Childwall Parish Church whose surname was Taylor. It was amongst the Family Memories of one Rodney Tirebuck Taylor, who claims in his Family tales that one of his ancestors was Bell Ringer at All Saints, Childwall and he was a marvelous singer and
a Poet.
All three churches would have been in a Row and you would have been able to see the Steeple of St. Mary's Prescot, St. Michaels, Huyton and then the third one in the row would have been Childwall.
In one of his tales he did say on Ancestor got carried of by natives and he was never seen again
