Katie's Mega Brick wall/Charles Henry Lorne

I received the certificate today and here are the details

26th March 1874-5, Portland Square
Charles Henry
Boy
Father: George Lorne
Mother Catherine Elizabeth Laugharne Late Edwards formerly Campbell
Fathers proffession Fisherman
Birth Registered 6th May 1874 by C.E. Laugharne.

Still keeping a open mind on this. I think I will pen some letters to present day Lorne's in Liverpool and see if they can help it would be nice to get a birth date for my Charles Henry Lorne.

Hi Katie... Funny isn't it how the parents each have a different spelling of the name. You would think on the birth cert that they would be the same spelling

My gut instinct tells me this is my Charles Henry Lorne, too much of a coincidence. and to cover up the fact that:-

1. His parents never married.
2. George Laugharne, the father is not on any Census records with Catherine and her 4 children.
3. I can't find any sign of Charles Laugharne aged 27yrs on the 1901 residing with Catherine in Everton.

I am going to keep whittling away at this till I rule him in or out.

I haven't been able to pick them up.

I have a child baptised in St Nicholas, Copperas Hill in 1904 called Elizabeth and some birth Registrations for other children after 1911 but the have eluded me in 1911.
