Well done Scotlandspeople

Post by Hilary »

Yesterday I downloaded a marriage entry from the above site and it was really illegible so I sent a comment on their queries and ask if there was any chance of a transcription of the entry.

Today I received an email from Scotlandspeople saying they'd asked for a rescanning and few hours later I received a very legible scan.

So definitely well done!

I had a similar poor scan quality experience with a download from Scotland's People some time ago. I lodged a comment and got an almost immediate response... an apology followed smartly by a rescan. If Southport need a lesson in how to run such a site....

And the cost Tina...? 30 credts cost £7.00. Viewing a hit will cost 1 credit. Viewing the actual record costs 5 credits. If you get the right hit first time, the image will cost you all of £1.40! And no waiting!

I can't praise Scotland's people high enough.
