A question for our Oz Genies

I'm not sure about other states but I have found some wills listed on the NSW state archives website http://srwww.records.nsw.gov.au/indexse ... yname.aspx if it appears you can order it.

Thank you to all you kind folks for your helpful suggestions. I don't think the records I am looking for are available yet. I will bore you now with the facts I have found. My paternal Grandfather had 3 step Brothers - James H Lee b 1876, Joseph b 1883 and George b 1885 Canning Town, Essex. Joseph I have found all his details. James is a mystery because he kept changing his name from James to Harry. I know when I was a child Dad's brothers arrived one Sunday with a newspaper article asking for information on Dad and his brothers as an Uncle in Australia had left a will in their favour. This was in about 1954/5. The problem is the Cousins and myself did not know the name of the Uncle but by research I have found a George Lee b 1885 who died in Rockhampton 17/04/1955 Reg Ref 149/4 and buried in North Rockhampton Cemetary 19/04/1955 Register Ref 134. I was hoping to find a Will so that I can confirm or discount my research. I would add that according to one cousin they received about £10 each. Some would say not worth the effort of research but as I am curious I would like to lay this to rest.
Hoping I haven't bored you all to sleep Your views would be very much appreciated.

Hi Tina many thanks for your interest. Also MaryA I agree with your comments Tina is one very helpful Lady. George's parents were Edward Lee b 1842 Wandsworth Surrey and Catherine Hally (Healey Haley) b 1845 Wapping. This was Edwards second marriage my Grandfather was from his first marriage. His first wife died aged 28 leaving a daughter and my Grandfather. I have traced the Lee family back to the seventeen hundreds but the three boys from the second marriage have bugged me for years. I finally found Joseph and have all his details. I know one of the other two went to Oz and it wasn't until FMP added the Australian records that I narrowed my search to it being George. All I remember from that time was Dad's brothers found and article in the newspaper "asking for their whereabouts as a relative had died in Oz and they may hear something to their advantage" I was only about about 9 or 10 at the time but well remember the "clipped ear" I got from Mum for listening at the door.
By way of a pun Edward's father was a flour miller and Catherine's father was a biscuit maker

I can see George Lee 6 in 1891 census with his widowed mother Catherine 44 and bros Joseph 7 & Harry 15.
The death index for George in Qld 17.4.1955 has his parents as I've mentioned before.
Something not adding up here.

Tina you are wonderful Yes you have the correct family on the 1891 cencus. You have confirmed that I have gone down the wrong road so it is back to the drawing board - thank you. Still a question of which of the two went to Oz Thank you once again for your help.
