ormskirk newspapers?

Post by simone »

Hi

Just a quickie

I have Robert T Rudd dying age 48, Ormskirk, Jun q 1930..
don't have the death cert yet but does anyone have access to any newspapers of the time that may tell his story? anything online?
mention of him in a family letter and that wife possibly getting money as a result of his death.
Thanks a bunch

I think Ormskirk papers are available on film at Ormskirk library. I'd give them a ring and ask.

In 1930, £154 15s 0d would have the same spending worth of 2005's £5,171.75

If he was living in Southport their local papers are on film at Southport library and Crosby library.

However if his home address was in Liverpool you might be better with the Liverpool newspapers.

Ormskirk was the reg district for Southport.
