Wilson family

Still hitting a brick wall, concerning my grandfather Gilbert Wilson, Cannot find any birth certificates, or parish records, of him or his siblings, Margaret, and John Robert Wilson. I have checked parish records of numerous churches in Toxteth Park, where they were living in 1881, found other siblings, William James, and Mary Jane Wilson, baptised at Christ church, Hunter street, (almost certain Mary Jane died when a child), still not sure I am on the right family as still cannot find marriage certificate of their parents Gilbert Wilson and Mary (Jones), I have been searching for over 5 years so any help would be appreciated. If they never tied the knot, then maybe Gilbert was registered under Mary's "maiden" name of Jones.

As the family has Scottish connections I would check for a birth in Scotland. You need Scotland's People for this.

I would also use one of the earlier census using a sibling to Gilbert to check where the family was in those earlier years.
