Help finding Mary & Patrick Campbell in 1901 census

Post by dlh1 »

After recent successes on this forum i'm hoping you can help me find Mary and Patrick Campbell in the 1901 census.

Patrick died in 1905 aged 69 in 3 Tenterden Street
Mary died in 1906 aged 63 in 3 Tenterden Street

They were both born in Ireland

in 1891 census they are both living in 38 Rachel street, but i can't find them at all living anywhere in 1901

Can anyone with a bit more knowledge help me out.

In 1901 their daughter Ellen was living in 3 Tenterden Street
In 1901 their daughter Mary was living in 18 Tenterden Street

Looking forward to hearing from some of you.

Kind regards,

Dan

Hello Dan,
Just checking the background info... You say a daughter Ellen was at 3 Tenterden Street in 1901?

Can you confirm Ellen O'Connor bn 1872 is your Ellen?
RG13 Piece: 3412 Folio: 59 Page: 1
Address: 3 Tenterden Street, Liverpool
O CONNOR, Jas Head Md 33 1868 Seaman A B - Liverpool, Lancashire
O CONNOR, Ellen Wife 29 1872 - Liverpool, Lancashire
O CONNOR, Ellen Dtr 2 1899 - Liverpool, Lancashire

And can you post the census reference for the location of Ellen's sister Mary please? Number 18 Tenterden Street is not indexed. It will begin with RG13, and be similar to that as above.

Would the forename Patrick be a typo by any chance?

This is 38 Rachel Street in 1891:

Patrick Campbell is definitely correct. I think his name was put down incorrectly in 1891 census.

Yes, Ellen O'connor is the daughter of Patrick Campbell.

Re the census reference for 18 Tenterden St - RG13 Piece: 3411 Folio: 122 Page: 69

Many thanks,

Seeing as how Patrick and Mary Campbell both died in Tenterden Street I 'did the walk' down both sides of the street in the 1901 census and didn't find them there. It is possible they were not in England or Wales on the night of 31th March 1901.
