Can you help create biographies for the heroes on this Memorial?

Sounds like a successful day!

Yes it was. I think there maybe another name on one of the slabs. Is there any chance of looking at them?

I think there may be a word or words missing, before 'Brigade', which might be 'Church Lads', or 'Boys'. I would guess at Church Lads Brigade, or CLB.

Thanks Daggers.

Daggers, did you go through the Parish Magazine for St. Mary, Garston?

Have you ever been through St. Mary's, Garston Parish Magazine, and extracted articles relating to the soldiers who came from there?

Katie

I was confused by your reference to St MARY, Garston, as I think I would be more likely to find information on the memorial I am researching inSt MICHAEL'S archives. I have not looked there, but having paid my first visit to the new-look LRO today, I will try to prebook and have a look.
Thanks for the thought.

Daggers, I have scanned all the references to Garston over the last couple of days. I was asking if you had already done this, as if you hadn't I was going to share the articles I have with you.

I'm not too sure that we will have anything more than you have in your biography, the main reason for checking censuses, baptisms and marriages etc. is to collect information as to who are the wife/parents etc. These are the tools we have tended to use to confirm relationships and locations.

Our forum members are not particularly affiliated to any of our Groups, by necessity because of their location, ie some may well be in Liverpool but many are in USA, Australia, Ireland etc. so as far as the author's details is concerned it's not the Liverpool Branch, it is the Forum of the L&SWLFHS.

Have you been able to confirm any of our doubtful entries?
