Sisters Martha and Sarah GEE

Post by KiwiPete »

Hello all, trying to track down what happened to the above two girls.

The only details I currently have is from the 1871 Census which lists the family at 43 Beresford Road:

Joseph GEE age 50
Ann GEE age 47
William age 22
Joesph age 20
Martha age 15
Abram age 12
Benjamin age 9
Sarah age 6

Joseph (buried Toxteth Park Cemetary 31Aug1890) and Ann (buried TPC 28Mar1891) married in Manchester 29May1842.

I have tracked down the four boys (Benjamin my GGF) but the two girls Martha and Sarah remain a total mystery to me apart from the fact that they were born approximately 1855 and 1864 respectively.

Any further information appreciated,
Thanks, Pete

I have found records of George and Martha Birkinhead (vice Birkenhead) both buried at Toxteth Park. Obviously mislisting of vowels somewhere although the spelling using 'IN' seems unusual.
Any sign of generations downtrack for these two couples?
Thanks,

Transcribers are supposed to "type what they see" even if they know it is incorrect, so it may just be bad handwriting.

Another family connection, witnesses at Sarah Ann's wedding, Horatio & Emily Fielding were the children of John Fielding & Mary Gee.

The plot thickens... I cannot even see where Mary comes into the line here.
Was she the eldest daughter of Joseph Gee and Ann Williamson (m. 29May1842) which would tie in chronologically.
Or is she the daughter of one of Joseph's siblings who I have not even seen yet?
Thanks
