I am trying to find out where my ancestors lived

I believe Mary Ann Davidson/Jones or George Parkin Davidson 'may have' lived in Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales between 1848 and 1891 but not confirmed I would like to know the exact address if atall, how would i find this property address, she was originally born in Wrexham in 1849.

Help would be really useful as the property would probably still be there... unless its the work house!!!!

What evidence do you have that George was in Denbighshire in 1881 and 1891?

In 1891 I believe this is George with his wife Mary [born in Ruthin] and living in Liverpool.

To find Mary Ann's 'home' you need to obtain her father's name and occupation from her marriage cert. There are 6 such births registered in Ruthin between 1847 and 1850.

Mary Ann Jones alternated her birth place as Ruthin and Manchester on census, in actual fact she was born in Madeira Hill, Wrexham, her father was Edward a Joiner, and his father John a carter. Mary's mother Mary Swinnerton was born in Wrexham, and her mother Mary Rowland was born Manchester.

George was born in Workington 1848, he married Mary at St Peters 1868 and they lived in Toxteth park after that.. Mary's father stayed at Willow Hill, Wrexham in 1861 and is with two of his daughters in 1871 at 26 Mount Street, and I have found possible for his father in 1851.

I have George and Mary at 1 McDermott buidings, Wrexham Regis 1881, not sure if property still there though?

yes Simone this is the same person. I know the Liverpool census states Mary was born Ruthin but we know that is wrong and its Wrexham. But did she live in Ruthin and where exactly.

How many of those trees you have connected with have you verified with your own research?

I have contacted people on Ancestry about connections without too much success, so if you have connected to 12, which have been verified as Mary said, you have done a lot better than me

I have only connected with 2 definites as I have found that some trees with my family on are just people collecting anyone and everyone, and the 2 I have definitely connected with have had the courtesy to acknowledge all the research I have done and passed to them... I used to have my tree on Ancestry but took it off in the end, because people put on family who had absolutely nothing to do with them.. and also I had a ridiculous error on my tree once, which I knew about, but before I got around to amending it, it appeared on the familysearch site in all its glory,, still on there... and consequently a number of other people have the error in their tree now! However, when I have contacted them to explain they refuse to believe me because it is on familysearch... and it was me who created the error in the first place!!!

If people allow me access to their trees I don't generally put all their info on mine unless a solid direct connection, and I always acknowledge where I get the info from...I don't tend to want to get as many people in my tree as I can... just my preference really we all work differently I suppose

All the contributors match up with my confirmed details, like you stated Simone a lot just add details without confirming.
I attended a family funeral two weeks ago and met relatives who had trees on ancestry, so further info was confirmed with certificates, photographs etc and also further mysteries that also have yet to be confirmed.

The mystery of why Mary Ann Davidson/Jones had Ruthin as a place of Birth, I am not sure, i can only 'assume' she once lived or worked there, which i may never get this confirmed.

Note: Not to confuse things, the twelve contributor links on Ancestry I have, relate to my whole tree not just the Davidson side and a few I met at the funeral which helped, the funeral was on the Currie side of the family.

Hi yes she may well have lived there at some point, she obviously had some confusion about her birthplace
