looking for white family in southport ,do you know IAN1956

Just found out that my uncle had thrown out nearly all of the family photos left by my grandfather!! . now I have little chance of finding a photo of my g.grandfather Fredrick 1870-1948 born cockermouth married emma rimmer and lived in southport ( joiner / carpenter ) . only chance is to find my 2nd cousin IAN WHITE 1956 . son of ALAN 1929-2005 son of WILLIAM ALFRED WHITE 1904-1977 who was one of Fredericks sons . if anybody knows anybody connected to this white line and who doesn`t throw photos out , you would make a history chaser very happy ( Frederick and emma are now buried in church town . st cuthberts ) hopefully lemondog`

Is this Ian perhaps a Society member? An Ian White used to be Treasurer until a few years ago, although if you are suggesting the 1956 as a year of birth, then perhaps it won't be him.

Hi MaryA . yes 1956 is his DOB . is the ian white you mentioned connected with the Cumbria family history mag . as that is were my whites come from and I noticed his name in their magazine , but no connection .

Ian who was the society treasurer is connected with the Cumbria FHS magazine so I imagine we are looking for a different Ian White.

Where was Alan who died in 2005 living?

Who registered his death? It would be worth contacting the person who registered the death as they may have further information.

Did Alan leave a will and of he did are there addresses of beneficiaries in the will?

Have you checked up to date electoral rolls and made contact with any Ian's that way?

Do you know that Ian definitely lives in Southport still?

Hi I know he lived in s/port when he married , but have not checked the electol role ,that's why you guys are so invaluable in shoving me in the right direction . I have just been checking the north meols site but no luck so far , I`ll get onto the death s and electrol roll as soon as I can . thanks for your help

According to www.lancashirebmd.org.uk his marriage took place at Emmanuel Cof E this is on Cambridge Road in Southport.
