Grave search at Everton cemetery

If some one has a few moments at the central library - could they check the grave plot of Sergeant Francis Winder PARRINGTON of the Liverpool Police killed in the May 41 blitz. Interred at Everton on May 13th 1941.

Order No. 37750, Section 9, Grave No. 111, M P Jones performed the ceremony, Owner Agnes Parrington.

Sorry didn't know that the Order books were in the Archive, have tried to reserve it for this afternoon, just in case there is any more information in it, but can't be certain that there is enough staff on to get the item out for me. What is above may be as much information as there is apart from the price paid for the Grave.

As I thought the Order Book doesn't really give much more info but it's nice to have. I suppose if you have Agnes's date (or even approximate) of death it could be checked whether she is in the same plot.

No I took my camera and they were good enough to get the record out for me for the afternoon - it helps that we host the Help Desk every week, they know us and will help if they have the staff to do so, otherwise it would have had to wait for another day.

Hi Searcher, Using the info above I have visited the cemetery for you and have sent you details of my findings via P.M.
It is worth noting for anyone using the plan presented at the link Mary A has pasted that it is not a true representation of the layout as it is today.
The areas marked as GEN 1-3,8-10,12-14,19&20 are flat green fields populated by a few trees and a cluster of approx 5 headstones from the mid 1800's around one tree at approx GEN 13. A long conversation with a gravedigger suggests that most of that area was unusable after a short period late 1800's due to a high water table and so was left unused.
In the registers the position of most graves are indicated by
"section X",and in the main that will refer to to the number allocated to sections designated by religion.
In other words "section 9", as in the case here refers to CH(C of E) 9 and if the person you were looking for was R/C you would look in the areas preceeded by an "R".
Other sections are clearly marked as "Chinese","Jewish" and "Moslem" where applicable.
There is often someone available in the 'lodge' at the Higher Lane end and they are most helpful where they can be of any assistance.
